This lesson will continue with the concepts from lesson 4 and cover the basic “funk/rock scale” – the minor pentatonic scale and trills in addition to thumb slap, pop/pluck, left hand slap and hammerons.

Love the videos. I feel like I am improving a lot with them. Still my timing and tone are completely off.
Any tips for the type of tone you have here? My currently nooby set up is Squier VM Jazz bass, Zoom b2.1u effects pedal, Laney RB1 amp and EB super slinky strings.
I’m praticing and actually i’m having dificulties with the mute slap note in the end of the lick :S
I like this groove, It’s a bit trick at first but I got it and soon I’ll put a funky beat behind it. Thank you for the breakdown parts.
