very nice pickin marlow ive been playing with my fingers and picks for 18 yrs and im just learnin how to slap on bass ,is there a certain way to set the strings so they ring right and do the strings have to be higher off the neck to slap???????:)

Just had to remind me, didn’t ya. Saw Zappa on tour in the mid 70′s with Tom Fowler and his trombone playing brother and Jean Luc-Ponty when Overnite Sensation album came out. Wore out the album.
