From beginner to beginners double bass lesson;-)
A funky bass line using the E Blues scale
E (1)
G (b3)
A (4)
A#/Bb (b5)
B (5)
D (b7)
Also added chromatic note D# between D and E.

Cant help myself even if should practice with the bow
Forgive the rhythmic irregularities – got carried away, but didnt want to do another “perfect” take – after all its IS a journey im on, so mistakes should be included. I also mention ghosted notes on beat 2 and 4, but in the bassline im actually ghosting beat 3 – Hmmm, “great” explanation Thomas!!

A big thank you,
I have been looking for someone who could teach me some techniques to improve bass guitar playing.
Also I found with surprise, you also show some on the double-bass, which I stop playing 20 years ago after breaking 2 bones in my left hand.
It gives me a taste to get another one and restart it.
Thanks again.

Just joined and am very glad I did now – after 20 years of bass, I just picked up an upright, and yes, it IS like learning a new instrument. Been figuring out Ray Brown and and Paul Chambers stuff, but this is a sweet funky lick Thanks!!

Murdy: Hey Marlowe, I bought the L253 in order toget the backing track. However, there is no backing track without the bass. Is there a way to get this?

hank: Thanks Marlowe! I guess I better start saving up. I can't wait to get one. I'm positive if I get one then my playing automatically gets funkier right? :)

MarloweDK: Hank: my sig bass will be presented at the Frankfurt musik messe in march. I dont know of the price but i guess it will be priced in the same range as Sandbergs California models. There is a couple of american retailers, check Sandbergs site.

soporific: Hi guys!

Harry Popper: hi, GospelBassMan

GospelBassMan: Hello community!!

hank: Will your bass be mass produced? Do you think it will be affordable (relatively speaking) Will it be offered online for us Americans that wanna buy it?

chooty: Thank you very much.

MarloweDK: Im really not into playalongs these days, more fun (and meaningfull for me) to do original music

MarloweDK: My sig bass is going to be released at the Frankfurt musikmesse in midmarch. I dont know anything about price yet
